And how wonderful they are these days! No more going back to work stress- just to plan my healthy eating regime for the week and perhaps do some ironing ! I have a friend coming round this afternoon with her 15 month old so will be more learning re children for me! Til then my time is my own ! I love it!
The weekend was spent enjoying the local 'pram race' (an event that has been going for 25 years apparently!) at the local pub on friday night with our also-pregnant neighbours. Saturday enjoying a 30th birthday celebration of my (also-pregnant) v good university friend and Sunday enjoying a bbq here at home to celebrate simon's birthday with both our families. My brother was hungover from a stag weekend so didnt participate much in conversation- except to organise a family sweepstake on sex, date of arrival and weight of our baby! Only 3 out of 9 in my family thought it was a girl which was interesting (will I reveal which way I voted- it might imply I want that sex rather than I just think it is that sex!). Not long until we find out I hope! Anyway people were so brilliant at not just basically bringing food but also clearing up etc. I barely had to do anything which suited me just fine! Simon enjoyed getting lots of stuff for our garden- you never thoguht it would be possible to see someone getting so excited about a hosepipe on a reel!
